Programs

Five ways to take part at DLC. Each one is about doing something real — at your own pace, alongside people who know you.

Employment

Build skills and confidence for work you want to do.

Our employment program focuses on the everyday skills that work asks for — getting ready, communicating with a team, learning a task and practising it.

Participants work on goals they choose, at a pace that suits them, with support from staff who know them.

Volunteering

Give time alongside neighbours and community partners.

Volunteering connects participants with organisations around Clovis and Fresno, contributing to work that matters to them.

It is a way to practise skills in a real setting, meet people, and be part of the wider community.

Music & movement

Make music, move, and express yourself.

Music and movement sessions are about taking part — rhythm, song, and moving in ways that feel good.

There is no audition and no right way to join in. Participants choose how they take part.

Athletics

Play, train, and be part of a team.

Athletics covers sport and physical activity, from individual practice to playing as part of a group.

The emphasis is on participation, friendship, and enjoying being active together.

Instructional cooking

Learn your way around a kitchen, one step at a time.

Instructional cooking works through preparing food together — planning, handling equipment safely, following a recipe, and sharing the result.

Sessions break tasks into steps so participants can build on what they already know.
